Stefan Rassalski (1910-1972) - painter, graphic artist, art historian. In 1928-1933 he studied in Lublin at the Free Academy of Painting and Drawing, headed by Janina Milosova. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1933-1935, and was one of the founders of the Lublin-based Krąg group. During the Warsaw Uprising he was one of the photojournalists of the Home Army. After the war, he belonged to the Bureau of Reconstruction of the Capital, where he headed the photographic studio. He contributed numerous articles on urban planning and city reconstruction projects to "Stolica".
