Studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1962 to 1968. He received his diploma in 1968 in the Copperplate Studio. In 1994 he was awarded the title of professor of fine arts. Long-time teacher at his alma mater. He taught printmaking at art schools in Antwerp, Maastricht, Montreal, Storrs, Urbino, among others.
He is the recipient of many awards and honors, including being awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2013) and the Bronze Medal for "Meritorious Service to Culture Gloria Artis" (2011).
His works can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Graphische Sammlung Albertina in Vienna, the National Museum in Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, the Art Museum in Lodz, among others.
