Stanislaw Ostoja-Chrostowski-Eminent Polish graphic artist. Studied: 1917-1923 in Moscow (painting, architecture), 1923-1930 at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw (among others with W. Skoczylas, he received his diploma with a specialization in graphics in 1934). He began working as early as 1924, quickly gained a high position and numerous domestic and foreign awards, was a member of the Rite and the Circle of Advertising Graphic Artists, in 1937 took over the Chair of Artistic Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, then its professor, and in 1945 its rector. He practiced fine art printmaking, mainly woodcuts. [za: min. Wikipedia].
