Handwritten letter dated August 6, 1856, in Albano. In the letter, Corrodi mentions his journey to Grotta, describes his health condition, and details his stay in Albano.

Salomon Corrodi was a prominent Swiss landscape and veduta painter, active primarily in Italy. His detailed watercolors and oil paintings capturing Italian landscapes and architectural scenes are still highly valued today for their precision and atmospheric quality.
