Original drawing, illustration design. Zbigniew Rychlicki (1922-1989) - one of the leading Polish illustrators, animator of artistic life connected with illustrating books for children and young people. From 1941 to 1946 he studied at the Institute of Fine Arts and Staatliche Kunstgeverbeschule in Cracow, then at the local Academy of Fine Arts (graduated in graphic design in 1956). From 1958, he was artistic director, and from 1972, deputy director for art and production at the Nasza Księgarnia publishing house. (...) He specialized in printmaking, posters and book graphics. He illustrated more than 150 books. (...) Author of character designs and set designs for the puppet animated series "Miś Uszatek". (...) In 1982, he was the only Polish illustrator to be awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal, a prestigious international award known as the "little Nobel".
