Pawel Naumowicz

Born in 1980, Bialystok. Graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He earned his bachelor's degree in Prof. Zygmunt Januszewski's illustration design studio, and his master's degree in Prof. Rafał Strent's printmaking studio. He works in printmaking, painting, drawing and graphic design. Among his numerous collection of prints, the largest are prints made using the linocut technique. Although the subject matter and form of the works are varied, many of them refer to existential problems - loneliness, alienation, man's struggle with himself, suspension somewhere in time and unreal space. The author has been working steadily with Art. Gallery Kafe, in Wood Dale, USA, since 2007. He is also a member of the Kolegtyw Art Association, where he engages in initiatives of an interdisciplinary nature, combining visual arts, theater and dance, among others. He was awarded the prize of the Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship in the January 2008 edition of Warsaw Graphics.
