Order of Polonia Restituta, Polonia Restituta (PR) - the second most senior Polish state civilian decoration (after the Order of the White Eagle), awarded for outstanding achievements in the fields of education, science, sports, culture, arts, economy, defense of the country, social activity, state service and development of good relations with other countries. Established by the Sejm of the Republic by a law of February 4, 1921 as the highest state decoration after the Order of the White Eagle[1]. The honor of the Order is guarded by the Order Chapter. By decree of the Head of State Jozef Pilsudski on December 20, 1921, the Statute of the Order of "Rebirth of Poland" was established[2]. By decree of April 23, 1923, President Stanislaw Wojciechowski established the new Statute of the Order of "Rebirth of Poland."
