Karol Mondral, born January 26, 1880, died December 16, 1957 in Poznań - Polish painter and printmaker.
Beginning in 1894, for six years he studied at the Drawing Class under the tutelage of Wojciech Gerson, Jan Kauzik and Adam Badowski. In 1902, I continue my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the studio of Leon Wyczółkowski. In 1909 he went to Paris where he studied dry needle technique. He traveled extensively throughout France and Switzerland where he sought inspiration. He had two solo exhibitions, 1919 at the Societe Nationale and 1921 at L'Association France-Pologne. In 1922 he returned to Poland where he became a manager at the State School of Art Industry in Bydgoszcz. In 1931 he moved to Poznan where he took up the position of professor of the Graphic Arts Department at the State School of Decorative Arts. He was a member of the Association of Polish Artists. In Poland, he held consecutive solo exhibitions, Warsaw, Poznań.
