Max Papart - francuski malarz i rysownik urodzony w 1911 roku w Paryżu, zmarł w 1994 tamże. Przez krótki czas uczęszczał do Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Paryżu,  w czasie wojny studiował w Marsylii. Pomiędzy 1958 a 1960 rokiem prace Paparta ewoluowały od stylu post-kubistycznego do sztuki abstrakcyjnej. W swoich pracach często wykorzystywał technikę kolażu. Regularnie wystawiał we Francji i Stanach Zjednoczonych.
