BIOGRAPHY
Graphic designer, painter; studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (including with K. Srzednicki; in 1948-53 was his assistant at the academy); worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow until 1962. He was one of the co-founders of the "Zagłębie" Group. Friendship united the artist with, among others, Jerzy Panek....

EXHIBITS
The first individual exhibition was held in Katowice in 1953. After the artist's death, there were three monographic exhibitions: in Katowice in 1990, organized by the Silesian Museum and BWA, and two in his hometown of Sosnowiec at the Extravagance Municipal Art Gallery in 1995 and at the Museum in 1997.
COLLECTIONS
His works are represented in museum collections and graphic arts cabinets at home and abroad. Marian Malina's works are in the collections of many Polish museums (including the National Museum in Warsaw, Cracow, Wroclaw and Szczecin) and foreign museums (Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, National Museum in Stockholm, Leipzig, Reykjavik and others).
The largest collection from a private collection is presented by the Museum in Sosnowiec.
