Biography
She began her study of painting at Nikolai Roerich's private school in St. Petersburg, and later studied in Cracow with Jozef Pankiewicz and Leon Wyczółkowski. She also studied in Paris with Faujita and in Munich. In 1920-26 she was married to Kazimierz Grus, a satirist and illustrator from Lviv. She lived in Paris for several years. In 1941 she was imprisoned in the Pawiak prison and then in the Ravensbrück camp. She returned to the country in 1946. The subjects of her works were floral compositions and erotic scenes. In addition to painting, she was also involved in stage design, poster design and interior design. Her works can be seen in Paris, Italy and Sweden, among other places.
