Leszek Rózga (1924-2015) - prominent Polish graphic artist, illustrator and painter. During World War II, from 1940-1945, he was in camps for so-called "dipis" in Duisburg and Mühlheim Ruhr, where he worked in an amateur theater and took private studies in painting and drawing. After the war, from 1948 to 1954, he studied at the State School of Fine Arts in Lodz, with which he was professionally associated, including as vice-dean of the Graphics Department. He received the title of professor in 1979.
His work includes printmaking, drawing and painting. Rózga's most important artistic series include "Oreos," "Permeations," "Cards from the Album," "Landscapes" and "Don Kiszoteria." Since 1954, he has participated in more than 500 exhibitions - both national and international - presenting his works around the world. His artistic legacy is distinguished by a depth of expression and a combination of realistic and surrealist motifs.
