Artist's signature in pencil (p.d.). Leszek Rózga (1924-2015). He took private studies in painting with Maria Skarbek-Kruszewska in 1945-46. In 1948, he began his studies at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz under professors Władysław Strzeminski, Adam Rychtarski, Stefan Wegner and Ludwik Tyrowicz. He received his diploma with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1954. In 1958 he became a member of the "Fifth Circle" group. In 1967 he began teaching graphic design at the State School of Fine Arts in Lodz. In 1971, he co-founded the Department of Graphic Arts. Since the 1970s, Polish graphic art through Leszek Rózga, among others, has gained worldwide recognition. The artist's works have found their way to the collections of the Albertina in Vienna, the National Library in Paris and the Cabinet of Engravings of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, among others. In 1979 Leszek Rózga was awarded the title of professor. The artist created series of colorful prints inspired by travels and stories from his own life, sometimes referring to the masters - Mirò, Matisse and Picasso.
