Krzysztof Skórczewski (b. 1947) - studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. From 1995-2003 he was a professor at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw, and also worked with Utah State University (USA). He is currently a professor at the University of Rzeszow and runs the Department of Graphic Arts at the Faculty of Arts. Initially working in linocut technique, he has been doing copperplate since 1976 (studying at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm). Since the mid-1990s, he has also created series in painting techniques (pastels, watercolors) and drawing. He has had more than 60 solo exhibitions at home and abroad and participated in many group exhibitions. He is a laureate of, among others. Second Prize and Funded Prize at the IV and XI International Biennial of Graphics in Krakow ( 1972, 1986), First Prize at the II International Festival of Graphics in Menton ( France) 1989. Special Prize at the International Biennial of Graphics "Cuprum VI" in Lubin (Poland) 1995 and First Prize Premio Sciascia (2009).
