Konrad Srzednicki (1894-1993). Studied painting at the school of K. Krzyżanowski in Warsaw and at the Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Tadeusz Pruszkowski and Władysław Skoczylas. He received his diploma in 1936. The artist was co-organizer of the International Biennale of Graphics in Cracow (1960). In 1939 he became a teacher at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He was a member of the "Ritual" (since 1931) and the Group of 9 Graphic Artists (1952-1960), an honorary member of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence (since 1965). He received many awards and prizes, including: the award of the Minister of Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment (1932); the award at the Paris exhibition "Art and Technique" (1937); 1st prize at the Sopot exhibition "Baltic in Graphics" (1959); 1st prize at the national exhibition "Plastic Work in the 15th Anniversary of the People's Republic of Poland" (1961); the Critic's Prize of the City of Essen (1964); the award at the International Biennale of Graphics in Florence(1968).
