Karol Wawrosz (born Zywiec 1860 - ?) - Polish painter and illustrator of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. He was born into the family of a forester. Initially he studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow. From 1879 he worked for Władysław Bartynowski as a draftsman. From April 18, 1888 he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the painting class under Alexander von Liezen-Meyer (1839-1898). Illustrator of books (including B. Twardowski, Wojsko polskie Kościuszki, Poznań 1894, Bartynowski's Wizerunki królów, uzbrojenie i wojsko polskie and Materiały do ikonografii królów, armroi i wojska polskiego). Author of the drawings for E. Czapski's catalog of Polish numismatics.
