Born in 1930 in Bogucice. Graduated from Cracow's Academy of Fine Arts and art history at Jagiellonian University. He is among the most outstanding Polish artists involved in illustration, scenography and tapestry design. His artistic style is recognizable thanks to his characteristic lines, individual means of expression and painterly representation. The creator is characterized by the ability to synthetically reproduce the shape of an animal or an element of the landscape with a few brushstrokes or a pen.Wilkonia's inspiration is primarily nature: landscapes and animals.
