Since graduating from the Warsaw School of Economics, the author has lived abroad. She worked at the Polish Embassy, then at the European Commission, and moved to Lisbon in 2017.
Joanna Kniaź-Hawrot acquired her artistic skills in Poland, Belgium and Portugal, where she completed painting and drawing courses. She also took lessons from artists in Brussels and Lisbon, who helped her create her own individual style, which distinguishes the works she created.
Joanna Kniaź-Hawrot made her debut in 2018 in her hometown of Zamość, with a solo exhibition entitled "Meanders of the Subconscious."
