The presented work is a symbolic record of the ptotest that Jana Shostak initiated in the form of a minute's shout for Belarus in May 2021. The protest was held in front of the European Union representation in Warsaw. The symbolic shout was a call for decisive action against the Lukashenko regime. In her artistic practice, she focuses on activities that activate the community inside the non-artistic system. He believes in the effectiveness of art.
BIOGRAM: Jana Shostak (b. 1993) - Polish-Belarusian intermedia artist and activist, PhD student at the UA in Poznan, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (diploma in Miroslaw Balka's Studio of Spatial Activities, 2017) In May 2021, she initiated a protest in the form of a one-minute shout for Belarus, which took place daily in front of the European Union representation in Warsaw. The symbolic shout was an appeal for decisive action against the Lukashenko regime. In his artistic practice, he focuses on activities that activate the community inside the non-artistic system. She believes in the effectiveness of art.
