Poster depicts the Sarcophagus of Jadwiga Andegawenska located in Wawel Cathedral.
Originally the queen and her daughter were buried in 1399 in the chancel to the left of the main altar. In 1949 she was moved to a sarcophagus made by Antoni Madeyski in 1902 in Rome. The sarcophagus was founded by Count Karol Antoni Lanckoroński, and was made of white Carrara marble, modeled on Ilaria del Qareto's 15th century tombstone in Lucca Cathedral. The top panel features a figure of the queen with her hands folded in prayer and a dog symbolizing fidelity underfoot. The sides of the sarcophagus are decorated with a frieze with eagles and the Andegawen coat of arms.
