Siberia, Visions of the Past is a two-part series of illustrations by Konstanty Górski (1868-1934), a Polish painter and illustrator known for his works on historical and patriotic themes. Both series were published as premiums for subscribers to Tygodnik Ilustrowany in 1911 and 1912, with the second series featuring illustrations entitled Pacierz, Two Worlds, Liberation and Return .
These portfolios were a valuable addition to the subscribers of Tygodnik Ilustrowany, showing in an artistic way the difficult fate of Polish exiles in Siberia.
The first series is available at our auction.
