Siberia, Visions of the Past is a two-part series of illustrations by Konstanty Górski (1868-1934), a Polish painter and illustrator known for his works on historical and patriotic themes. Both series were published as premiums for subscribers to Tygodnik Ilustrowany in 1911 and 1912, with the first series featuring illustrations entitled Meeting - Two Generations, Letter to Mother, Pan Tadeusz in the Mines and Escape .
These portfolios were a valuable supplement for subscribers to Tygodnik Ilustrowany, showing in an artistic way the difficult fate of Polish exiles in Siberia.
The second series is available at our auction.
