On the lower margin, hand inscription in italian: "Those who arrive late find bad accommodation". Preparatory drawing for one of the engraved plates of the "Collection of forty Tuscan Proverbs expressed in figures by Giuseppe Piattoli Fiorentino", published in two series in Florence in 1786 and 1788.
