Scene I commemorates the distinguished pianist, statesman Ignacy Paderewski (1860-1941) giving a concert in the salon of Mr. and Mrs. Jentys (Wanda and Tadeusz Jentys - the master's plenipotentiary) at the Bristol Hotel, early 1919. The second scene is related to one of Paderewski's stays in Cracow. The maestro performed Hayden's symphony there.
