Lot description
Engraving depicting Bernhard Zech (Bernhard von Zech), Minister of Augustus II the Strong, Member of the Privy Council.
The engraving is probably according to a painting by Élisabeth Sophie Chéron (1648-1711), and depicts Bernhard wearing a wig in a half-figure portrait, wrapped in a stiletto. Below is the inscription "Bernhard Zech, Potentisf Regi Pol et El Sax a Confilus Sanctioribus etc."
Rectangular engraving measuring 14.8mm x 90mm. Condition as shown in photos.
