[SZABLOWSKI Jerzy]. Ex libris by Jerzy Szablowski.
Two-color linocut on sheet 9.8x7.5 cm. Unicorn (featured in the coat of arms of the Bończa Szablowskis), shield with the Three Shields coat of arms (emblem of the painters) and a goose feather. Composition (unsigned) by Tadeusz Przypkowski, 1944. Small loss of upper corner, traces of glue on the edges on the back.
J. Szablowski (1906-1989) - art historian, conservator of monuments (including the Wawel castle complex), curator of the Lazienki park in Warsaw. From 1949 he was director of the State Art Collections at Wawel Castle.
