Andrzej Czeczot (1933-2012) - Draughtsman, painter, stage designer, illustrator. He was a graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice, a branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He made his debut in 1956 in the weekly magazine "Szpilki", of which he was a regular contributor for many years.
Interned in 1981, he later emigrated to the United States, where he worked with the New York Times, the New Yorker and the Wall Street Journal, among others. Switzerland's "Graphis" included a monograph on him in an issue from the 1980s [bio via artinfo.co.uk].
