Banksy (there are several versions of his real name: Robert Banks or Robert Gunningham, Robin Baksy) was born in 1974 in England.
The artist is one of the world's most famous graffiti artists, but he hides his identity and no one knows what he really looks like.
Banksy uses a variety of techniques to convey his messages, most often humorous, related to social issues and politics. His original form of street art, combining graffiti and his distinctive stencil technique, as well as the bold and often very risky placement of his works, has earned him recognition from artists and received media attention.
