Original canvas portfolio richly decorated designed and signed on the face by Hugo Strohl (1851 - 1919).The portfolio shows the interior of the artist's studio with an easel, a painting palette and a portfolio of drawings. The whole piece is richly decorated, embossed in silver and gold, framed by a border with floral elements.
The boards were printed in heliogravure on Chinese paper and pasted on a backing.
