Andrzej Gieraga (b. 1934) - Polish painter, graphic artist and educator, professor of fine arts. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, where he held leadership positions for years, including pro-rector. His oeuvre includes painting, drawing, and printmaking and applied graphics, distinguished by ascetic and minimalist forms. His works are dominated by abstract geometric compositions, experimenting with color, light and space. He was the initiator of the Wladyslaw Strzeminski Competition and founder of the 261 Gallery. He was awarded the Silver Medal "Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis" (2012). He was also active as a lecturer at Radom Technical University and the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz.
