Glosa: One of Picasso's most famous paintings entitled. "Head of a Woman" from 1934 is in the National Gallery in Athens. Picasso donated the cubist painting to the Greek state in recognition of the country's resistance against Nazi Germany during the 1941-1944 occupation. On the back of the painting, the artist's dedication: "For the Greek people in tribute from Picasso." The painting in 2012 was stolen by a Greek "art lover" and recovered after nearly 10 years.
