Woodcut by Stefan Mrożewski (1894-1975) from 1936, prepared in connection with the Olympic Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, printed in 35 pieces. The artist was living in London at the time. Woodcut signed on the woodblock: "Stefan Mrożewski 1936". - Signature woven into the Olympic circles. Pencil signatures under the composition: "'Olympics' 23/35" and "Stefan Mrożewski". The work is also known under the alternative title "Past and Present." The work was awarded 2nd prize at the National Olympic Art Competition in 1936, and was also presented at the Second International Exhibition of Contemporary Woodcut in Warsaw in 1936. Woodcut in wooden frame, in passe-partout, behind glass. Sheet slightly creased, good condition.
