Biography
Russian-Belgian artist who studied at Konstantin Yuon's private school in Moscow from 1907 to 1917, and then, until 1919, at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture there. In the early 1920s he was involved in theater stage design. In 1922 he emigrated to Belgium, where he settled permanently. There he worked in painting, drawing, printmaking and book illustration. His work mainly dealt with portrait, nude, genre and mythological scenes. He created a romantic-classical style, drawing patterns from Renaissance art.
