With backrest and seat filled with bamboo leather nailed with decorative nails on the backrest ridge and seat frame, supported on arched supports fastened on the sides with skids. Vertical arms of the backrest finished with carved stiles. The sigmoidal handrails ended with a volute.
The armchair belonged to Tadeusz Rutowski (1852-1918), journalist, publicist, economist, social activist and patron of culture, president of the city of Lviv. Rutowski was portrayed in it by Stanislaw Kaczor-Batowski (1866-1949), a Lvov painter-battle artist.
