Very good condition. Peretz Smolenskin (1840 or 1842 - 1885) - Jewish writer and thinker who wrote in Hebrew. He founded a monthly Hebrew-language magazine in Vienna called Ha-Shachar and was its publisher until his death. The magazine was devoted to Jewish literature and nationalist thought. In his work he advocated against Hasidism. He is considered one of the forerunners of Zionism. 9080/54
