Photo of a larger format than the traditional one. Ink stamp on the reverse: "Reportage- Photo, J.Berman, str. Sarindar 11, Bucharest I (Roumanie)". The author of the photo is a world-famous photographer, his photos have appeared in the New York Times, among others. Photographs by this author are highly valued at international auctions. The PZL 19 aircraft shown is one of three produced in 1932 at the State Aviation Works. It took part in the Challenge competition in 1932, led by Capt. B. Orlinski. After adding fuel tanks, it took part in the 1933 competition for a record-breaking long-distance flight. It was led by Capt. Lewoniewski and Col. C. Filipowicz and then crashed near Kazan. The aircraft existed for less than two years and its photographs are very rare. Four pin punctures, two paper overbends, small tear of upper margin.
