Kraków Automobile Club - established in 1914 as a continuation of the Galician Automobile Club, which had been in operation since 1908, ceased its activities with the outbreak of WWII. During the period covered by the presented photographs, the club was headed by Antoni Potocki, Piotr Rostworowski and Adam Dygat. Members of the club included: Michal Gladij, Adam Potocki, Wilhelm Ripper, Kazimierz Dobija, Lazarus Pilecki, Tadeusz Piotrowski, Edmund Zieleniewski and others. In 1927, the club organized the Tatra Automobile Race, which was successfully continued five times on the route Lysa Polana - Morskie Oko. The two-time triumpher of this competition was KKA representative Jan Ripper in a Bugatti.
