Biography
Painter, photographer, draughtsman, performer and installation artist. Studied at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Since 1979, he has been a teacher at the Institute of Visual Education of the UMCS. The artist focuses on analyzing the material used and exploring issues of place, plane and space. He is the author of so-called true paintings - reliefs imprinted in paint-covered canvases. The painterly beauty of raw material is also discernible in his photographic works, which depict isolated fragments of reality, such as fragments of a wall, concrete floor or slipping plaster.
