In my garden is a series of surrealistic collages made from old anatomical, botanical and astronomical engravings. The juxtapositions are based on the similarities of form and function found in nature and the tensions between the micro and macro, animate and inanimate scales. The human body is shown in the context of nature in the broadest sense, devoid of an anthropocentric context. It is part of a largerwhole, it feeds, but it is also a host, it is born, grows in, absorbs, feeds, it is part of a chain - an incomprehensible puzzle.
