digital photography, print, matte paper, 30 x 39.5 cm, signed l.d. (print): Lubov Shlihta
Lubov Shlihta is a Ukrainian who has lived in Poland for 30 years and has long photographed the Polish landscape, nature, but also folk customs and the atmosphere of old Polish villages. Although she lives not far from Warsaw, her favorite region is Podlasie, which reminds her of her hometown and helps her return to her childhood in her imagination.
Five years ago she ended up at the Biebrza River and succumbed to a total fascination with the landscapes and richness of the fauna there. She most often stays there and in the marshes and wetlands adjacent to the river. She already has a considerable body of work in the difficult field of wildlife photography.
She is a constant participant and winner of many competitions and exhibitions. She willingly cooperates with other photographers and contributes to the preservation and aesthetics of her favorite landscapes. She has gained a large fan base for her work in a short period of time, and in the growing circle of photographers of Podlasie and its pearl, the Biebrza, she is very popular and - not just because of her name! - liked.
