Depicts traffic in a section near the barbican. In the lower left corner of the negative the inscription: "Kraków. Basztowa Street." On the back stamp: "Photo. A. Siermontowski [...]". Very good condition.
A. Siermontowski (1889-1942) - architect, mountaineer and photographer. During the First World War a soldier of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the Polish Legions. Since 1910 he practiced climbing and skiing. For a short period he ran a photographic establishment in Cracow. He was passionate about photography, taking pictures in the Tatra Mountains, Cracow and the Malopolska region. He published postcards and albums. His photographs were reproduced in "Ilustrowany Kurier Codzienny" and "Światowid", among others.
