View of the castle with the "Dębno" tenement house visible in the foreground of the composition (71 Grodzka Street - built at the end of the 19th century and demolished in 1940/1941). Signs visible on the tenement include: "Pierwszy Krajowy Skład Gramofonów Józefa Wekslera", "Fryzyer", "Magazyn Mód". In the left part of the composition the road to Wawel Hill is visible. Photo pasted on original cardboard backing. On the back stamp: "Zakład Art. Fotograficzny A. Pawlikowski Krakow Slawkowska 21". Edges of the backing slightly damaged, otherwise good condition.
A. Pawlikowski (1862-1925) - photographer, documentary filmmaker, collaborator of "Światowid" and "Architekt". Owner of atelier since 1906 at Slawkowska Street. In 1908 winner of the second prize in the competition of the Society of Lovers of the History and Monuments of Krakow.
