Goluchow Castle - "Perfectly set in the landscape, thoroughly material and real, the castle in Goluchow seen from the park seems to transport us into a world that is only vaguely real. This impression is heightened by the difference in shape, color and mood of Goluchow from those we are used to when visiting architectural monuments in Poland. In a small, subalpine village we encounter here a building as if strayed here from the banks of the Loire. And yet these are only formal appearances: in the cartouche above the entrance to the castle, not without reason, there is a Polish coat of arms - Wieniawa Leszczyńscy. And the entire history of the castle, now four hundred years old, and its successive owners: the Leszczynskis, Dzialynskis and Czartoryskis and now the Poznan National Museum, is a page from the history of Polish art and culture." (from Z. Dolczewski, T. Jakimowicz "Goluchow Castle. A Guide", Poznań 1978, p. 5 - which we attach to the presented object).
