Biography
Master's degree in earth sciences, graduate of the University of Warsaw and the Department of Cinematography and Television Production at the National Higher School of Television, Theater and Film.
In the 1970s he participated in the Polish avant-garde film movement, in the 1980s and 1990s he realized his actions and projections in public space. In the 1980s and 1990s, he ran the Art Hotel gallery in Lodz, realizing a number of exhibitions in many centers in Europe, including the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava, Kunstwerk in Berlin, Hotel de Ville of the city of Brussels. Over the past 30 years, video shows and works have been realized, among others, at the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris, where he represented Poland at the Biennale of the Young, and participated in major exhibitions of Polish and European art, including the Centre Pompidou, Stedelijk Museum and Gallery de Appel in Amsterdam, Tate Gallery in London and many solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He was a participant in the first video festivals in The Hague, Bilbao and many others. Works in the collections of the Museum of Art in Lodz, CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Museum of Cinematography in Lodz and in private collections. He was a recipient of scholarships from the Polish and French Ministries of Culture, as well as the president and governor of Warsaw and Lodz.
