The series Backdrop for the Memory was based on an album of the Schönwetter family(German :Beautiful Weather),whichthe artist received from a Krakow rabbi. The artist recalls the name of the Jewish family, but makes a gesture in the photographs, asking with it about the meanings, which, as he explains , are lost, lost with thosewho could give meaning to the family photographs. The entire series makes up the publication Backdrop for the Memory (Art Pacifica, Hilo, 2022).
