The 52nd Borderland Rifle Infantry Regiment was an infantry unit of the Polish Army of the Second Republic, formed in 1919 as part of efforts to secure the Eastern Borderlands. It was permanently stationed in Zloczow (now Ukraine) and was part of the 12th Infantry Division. The regiment took an active part in the Polish-Bolshevik war, as well as in the 1939 September campaign, fighting in the battles of Zloczow and Brody, among others. Many officers of this regiment are on the lists of those murdered by the NKVD in Katyn and Kharkiv.
