Photos taken during the shooting of a Polish-German biographical film in 1972, directed by Ewa and Czeslaw Petelski. The film was made to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. Almost simultaneously with the theatrical version of the film, a television version was made in the form of a three-episode TV series with the same title. The title role was played by Andrzej Kopiczyński, while the other roles included Barbara Wrzesińska, Anna Schilling, Czesław Wołłejko, Andrzej Antkowiak, Jadwiga Chojnacka, Emilia Krakowska, Leszek Herdegen, Maria Nowotarska and Witold Pyrkosz. Author's stamp on the back of six photos. Good condition.
J. Podlecki (1933-2015) - sociologist and photographer from Krakow, whose works were characterized by naturalness and attention to the proper composition of the frame, specialized in sightseeing subjects. For many years he was a photojournalist for the "Polish Daily". He was the creator of albums on sightseeing, including "Cracow", "Wieliczka", "Wieliczka - historic salt mine", "Beautiful and fairy-tale Cracow", "Temples and chapels of Wieliczka", "Franciscan sanctuaries", "Wawel - castle and cathedral", "Jagiellonian University", "Collegium Maius of Jagiellonian University", "Cracow past and present", "Miniatures from the codex of Baltazar Behem".
