Along with blue placards with the names of rivers, fish-shaped hats have become a recognizable prop at Sisters of Rivers happenings. Cecylia Malik's idea was developed by the master of needlework and sewing Maruna, i.e. Gosia Grodzka, who has supported the Sisters of the Rivers many times with her workshop, redesigning swimsuits or magnificent flood skirts for the Oder River. The fish on the heads of the sisters first appeared at a protest against the construction of the Kąty-Myscowa reservoir on the Wisłoka River, in the Beskid Wyspowy. Carefully sewn, from shiny materials, the hats, which remind us of the treasure that is clean water and its ecosystem.
30 fish-hats were created - each one unique and unrepeatable. Sister River, who helped at the workshop, got one to take home, several pieces were kept by Cecilia Malik for happenings. They are not on sale, but for Odra the authors made an exception.
