Urodził się w 1941 r w Kuczynce, woj. poznańskie. Absolwent Wydziału Grafiki w Katowicach krakowskiej ASP. W 1975 r. otrzymał stypendium Rządu Królestwa Holandii w Rietveld Akademie w Amsterdamie. Uprawia wyłącznie grafikę warsztatową - akwafortę. Prezentował swoje prace na ponad 50 wystawach indywidualnych w Polsce, holandii, Szwecji, Niemczech, Bułgarii, Francji i Czechach. Wielokrotnie brał udział w międzynarodowych biennale i triennale grafiki.
