Znany jest z dzieł wykorzystujących efekty optyki, jest czołowym reprezentatem ruchu Op-Art i sztuki kinetycznej lat 60. Jego prace znajdują się w kolekcjach między innymi MoMA w Nowym Jorku, Muzeum Guggenheim i Centre Pompidou w Paryżu.
